Account health is a way for CoinTracker customers to view any potential inconsistencies or issues that may impact the accuracy of their crypto taxes.
Robinhood Customers: The Robinhood API does not support withdrawals and deposits, which creates a perceived balance discrepancy in CoinTracker. Please upload your transfers using the CSV upload option.
Mobile
If there’s an exchange account that needs your attention, you’ll see an account health banner on the Home page and a red notification icon on the Health tab. The Health tab will give you a complete overview of what the issue is, the level of importance, and how to fix it.
Overall account health
On mobile, you’ll see a color spectrum (green, yellow, or red) that represents the overall health of your account.
| Green (great) | There are minimal or no issues with your accounts. |
| Yellow (fair) | There's an inconsistency with one or more of your accounts and review is highly recommended to improve accuracy. |
| Red (poor) | There’s a critical issue with one or more of your accounts and your immediate attention is needed. |
If your account health is yellow or red
- Tap the Health icon. Here you’ll see what accounts need your attention based on the level of urgency (highest urgency listed first).
- Select an account to see what the issue is and how to fix it.
What causes fair or poor account health?
There are several reasons for fair or poor account health, but the most common are:
- Expired API keys
- Data misalignment
- Platform security updates
- Wallet syncing issues
Desktop
While Account health on desktop isn’t color-coded like it is on mobile, you’re still able to view your account health, any issues affecting your account, and the fixes needed to keep it all up to date.
Where can I view Account health on desktop?
- From the Portfolio page, select Account health on the left-hand side
- Select the Exchange Issues tab—if any connected wallets need attention, you’ll see them here
- Select the account that needs attention
- You’ll be prompted to update the account, or you can choose to ignore it
- Ignored accounts will move to the Ignored Exchange Issues tab
What are the tabs in Account health?
Exchange Issues are account connections that may have broken due to expired API keys, changed credentials, or platform security updates. These need your attention. You can ignore exchange issues if you feel they don’t impact your account.
Ignored Exchange Issues are all the exchange Issues you chose to ignore. If you’d like to take action on an ignored exchange issue, you can do so at any time.
