If you’re having trouble syncing your wallets or exchanges, continue reading to learn how to fix a stuck sync, when to perform a manual sync, and what to expect when adding a new wallet.
When to use Sync all
Use Sync all from the Wallets page to pull in new transactions from your connected wallets or exchanges. It doesn’t update past transactions or fix previously failed syncs. To troubleshoot missing transaction history or incorrect balances, check out this article.
Sync all is useful if:
- Multiple wallets and exchanges fail to sync for over 24 hours
- Recent activity isn’t showing up
Manually sync new activity from a wallet or exchange
If your wallet hasn’t synced in over 24 hours:
- Sign in to CoinTracker and navigate to the Wallets page.
- Select the Sync wallet option on the selected wallet or exchange.
- Look for the checkmark to confirm the sync is complete.
Your wallet or exchange is stuck syncing
A connection may be stuck if the progress bar stops moving or you see a Failed to sync error on the Wallets page.
Fix a stuck sync on an existing wallet or exchange
- Refresh the browser: If the sync doesn't complete in about five minutes, try refreshing your browser.
- Try a manual sync: Click Sync wallet from the Wallets page.
- Check the internet connection: Ensure your connection is stable.
- Check for known issues: See our current bug reports for any known issues related to the wallet or exchange. If it’s not listed, create a report by contacting our support team.
If a new wallet or exchange is stuck after adding it
Syncing a new wallet may take up to 30 minutes, or in rare cases, up to one hour, depending on factors like transaction volume or the integration’s capacity.
What to do if syncing seems stuck
- Give it time: Allow at least 30 minutes for the sync to process.
- Check for progress: After 30 minutes, transactions should start appearing even if the sync isn’t complete.
- Reach out if there’s no progress: If nothing changes after an hour and there are no listed bugs, contact our support team.
