Important: You'll need your recovery phrase, which are your private keys, to complete the following options. Handle it with extreme caution as your funds will be at risk if compromised.
Add BCH, ETC, XLM, or XRP wallets
If you have crypto on networks previously supported by Coinbase Wallet, you’ll need to import your recovery phrase into another self-custody wallet that supports those networks to retrieve your public addresses and xPubs:
- Open the Coinbase Wallet mobile app or browser extension.
- Go to Settings > Security.
- Select your wallet.
- Follow the prompts to reveal your recovery phrase.
- Copy your recovery phrase and use it to set up another self-custody wallet.
- Proceed to your CoinTracker account to add this wallet.
Add BTC, DOGE, or LTC wallets
To add these missing transactions, you’ll need the wallet's xPub key (extended public key). Use the steps below to convert your recovery phrase into an xPub key.
- Follow the steps above to retrieve and copy your recovery phrase.
- Open an open source tool and enter your recovery phrase in the BIP39 Mnemonic field.
- In the tool, select the crypto (e.g. BTC), then choose the BIP84 Derivation Path.
Copy the public zPub key from the Account Extended Public Key field into CoinTracker.
If the wallet fails to import or transactions are still missing, try a different derivation path, like BIP44 or BIP49, using the steps above. Extended public keys from these paths will start with xpub or ypub instead of zpub.
Alternatively, copy each public address used by the wallet:
- Open the Coinbase Wallet app.
- Go to the Wallet tab.
- Select a cryptocurrency > Receive.
- Copy the wallet’s public address and paste it into CoinTracker.
Handling more unsupported crypto
For crypto that we don't currently support, you can manually add the transactions or via CSV import.
