If you've updated your wallets or transactions in CoinTracker and need to send an updated form to TurboTax, we suggest the following steps to avoid duplicative forms appearing in TurboTax.
First, delete any previous CoinTracker forms (shown as 1099-DA on TurboTax) using the steps below:
How to delete outdated forms in TurboTax
- Sign in to TurboTax, navigate to the Federal section.
- Under Income, select Investments and savings
- Find your uploaded Form 1099-DA from CoinTracker.
- Select the Trashcan icon next to the form, then confirm by selecting Yes.
If you see multiple forms, delete the older forms first. Cross-check dates against the forms in CoinTracker if needed. Once you’ve completed the above steps, you can import your updated CoinTracker forms with the following steps:
How to import updated CoinTracker Forms into TurboTax
- In TurboTax, navigate to the Federal section.
- Under Income, select Investments and savings
- If asked, "Did you have investment income in 2025?", select Yes
- Choose CoinTracker as the source for importing your tax information.
- Select Continue, follow the prompts to connect your CoinTracker account, and complete any required checks before import.
- After completing these steps, your TurboTax account will import your latest CoinTracker data and you can continue filing.
