Add a Gate.io account to CoinTracker

To add a Gate.io account to CoinTracker, you’ll need to use APIv4 keys. 

• APIv2 is no longer supported. 
• Remove your Gate.io APIv2 account or delete your key from CoinTracker, before continuing with the below steps.

Steps to add a Gate.io account

1. Sign in to your Gate.io account and navigate to the API Management page.
2. Click Create new API key.
3. In the API Key Remark field, enter a name you’ll remember.
4. Under IP Permissions, select Later. 
5. Choose API v4 key under API Key Type and Trading Account under Account Type.
6. Toggle on all permissions* and set them to Read Only. 
7. Click Submit, enter your trading password, authenticate, and copy the API Key and API Secret. Paste them into the appropriate fields on the Add a Gate.io account page in CoinTracker.

*Do not turn on Enable trading pairs allowlist or Subaccount.

• IP Permissions: CoinTracker doesn't support IP allowlisting yet. You may need to re-enable your API key after 90 days. 
• Read only permissions: CoinTracker can only view your complete account history.
