The Recalculate Taxes feature on the Taxes page allows you to initiate a full cost basis recalculation, updating your transactions with the most current pricing data and tax calculations.
What happens when you recalculate taxes:
- All transactions will be refreshed, which may change your tax numbers.
- If you have a frozen period, it will be excluded from recalculations and won’t be affected.
Important: Only use this feature if you’re comfortable with potential updates to your existing transactions.
Reasons to recalculate your taxes
- You want to finalize your tax reports before filing.
- You fixed errors, removed duplicate transactions, or corrected missing data.
- You added or imported new transactions.
- Your transaction count is incorrect.
Steps to recalculate your taxes
- Navigate to the Taxes page.
- Click the [...] icon.
- Click Recalculate taxes.
- Click Recalculate my full account to confirm this action.
