CoinTracker plans renew annually on the original purchase date. However, plans purchased before Oct. 16, 2025, will need to be renewed early to access 2025 tax forms. Learn how regional tax deadlines affect access to tax forms.
To renew your plan early:
- Sign in to CoinTracker and go to the Taxes page.
- Change your tax year to 2025 taxes at the top of the page.
- Select the Renew plan button on the right side of the page.
- Continue to the check-out page.
Once you renew, you’ll be able to access the tax forms.
How plan renewals work
CoinTracker plans auto-renew annually on the original purchase date to ensure continuous access to features and upcoming tax forms.
However, early subscription renewals may be required to access new tax forms before an auto-renewal date has passed. Charging a fee per tax year is similar to how TurboTax, H&R Block, other crypto tax solutions, and CPAs charge for their services.
- If you start a subscription before your region’s tax extension deadline: Your subscription includes access to the prior year’s tax forms. Due to your region’s deadline, you’ll need to renew your subscription to access the tax forms for the soon-to-be completed tax year.
- If you start a subscription after your region’s tax extension deadline: Your subscription includes access to the soon-to-be completed year’s tax forms.
For example, if you’re based in the US and sign up for a subscription plan on Feb. 1, 2025, you immediately get access to file your 2024 taxes, plus 12 months of portfolio tracking on CoinTracker. To file your 2025 taxes, you’ll need to renew your plan to access your 2025 tax files and start a new 12-month period of portfolio tracking.
