After downloading your backup transaction history CSV from CoinTracker, you might want to re-import this file back into CoinTracker in the future:
- Navigate to 'Add Wallet > CSV import' on CoinTracker.
- Select the CSV file you have previously generated and wish to import.
- Click on 'Import' to add the CSV transactions to your CoinTracker account.
Additional Considerations When Importing Your CoinTracker Transaction History CSV
- Handling 'Transfer' Type Transactions: CoinTracker does not currently support transactions labeled as 'Transfer'. If your CSV contains 'Transfer' type transactions, you will encounter a validation error during the import process. It is recommended that you remove any 'Transfer' type transactions from your CSV before attempting to import it back into CoinTracker.
- Transactions from Multiple Wallets: CoinTracker treats all transactions in the imported CSV as if they originate from a single wallet. This means that if your CSV contains transactions from multiple wallets or exchanges, they will not be segregated by their original sources. CoinTracker does not distinguish between different wallets during the import process.
