Transactions Page Overview
The Transactions page provides a centralized view to track and oversee your entire cryptocurrency transaction history, consolidating data from multiple wallets and exchanges that have been added to CoinTracker. This comprehensive view ensures seamless management and monitoring of your cryptocurrency activities in one unified location.

You can access your Transactions page from the top of the website by clicking Transactions.
Key Features of the Transactions Page
The Transactions page is equipped with several features to streamline the search and analysis of your trading activity:
Search Transactions
Utilize the AI-powered search bar for quick searches using natural language, including dates, token names, exchange names, and transaction types.
Filter Transactions
Filters help tailor your search for specific transactions. You can filter your transactions using several conditions and combine search multiple filters for custom experience.
- Category: Filter by transaction types (e.g., trade, send, margin). For a full list, see Transaction Category Definitions.
- Wallet: Search or filter by wallet, exchange, or specific asset wallets.
- Currency: Choose between cryptocurrency, fiat, or custom currency assets.
- Status: Options include "Needs review," "Imported," "Manual," "Ignored," along with custom categories like cost basis and proceeds adjustments.
- Date: Narrow down by date range or select a previous tax year.
When you choose a filter, the applied filter will appear directly below the filter menu. To remove a filter, click the ‘x’, and the view will update automatically.
Sort Transactions
Sorting helps you review transactions relative to one another based on the condition of your choice:
- Date: Sort transactions in chronological and reverse-chronological order using the up/down arrows next to the 'Date' header.
- Gains: Sort based on the the USD value of the gain for a transaction. Results will not be in chronological order.
- Value: Sort by transaction value, highest to lowest or lowest to highest.
Understanding Transaction Features
On the Transactions page, you'll find detailed information for each transaction, including:
- Category: Type of transaction.
- Date: Date and time of the transaction in UTC time zone.
- Sent/Received Assets: Depending on the transaction type, displays both sent or received assets, or just one.
- Fee: Transaction fee in fiat currency.
- Value: Fair market value (in fiat currency, USD) of all assets sent or received at the time of the transaction.
- Gains: The profit or loss calculated as proceeds minus the cost basis.
Expand Transaction Details
For a deeper dive into your transaction details, click on a transaction to expand it:
- Transaction Details: Details like Proceeds, Cost Basis, and the transaction fee for each asset involved. Note that transfers, being non-taxable, won't display these details.
- Wallet Balances: View the ending balance of each asset in the specific wallet post-transaction
