The Transactions page offers a centralized view of your entire cryptocurrency transaction history, consolidating data from all connected wallets and exchanges for easy tracking and management.
To see your full crypto transaction history, you must add all your exchanges and wallets to CoinTracker.
Key features of the Transactions page
The Transactions page offers several features to help you easily search and analyze your trading activity:
Search transactions
Utilize the AI-powered search bar for quick searches using natural language, including dates, cryptocurrency, exchanges, and transaction types.
Filter transactions
Filters help you refine your transaction search by applying multiple conditions:
- Category: Filter by transaction type (e.g., trade, send, margin).
- Wallet: Search or filter by wallet, exchange, or specific asset wallet.
- Currency: Choose between cryptocurrency, cash, or custom currencies.
- Status: Filter by status (e.g., Needs review, Imported, Manual, Ignored) or custom categories like cost basis and proceed adjustments.
- Date: Filter by date range or select a previous tax year.
Applied filters will appear below the filter menu. Click x to remove a filter, and the view will update automatically.
Sort transactions
Sorting helps you review transactions relative to one another based on the condition of your choice:
- Date: Sort chronologically or in reverse order using the up/down arrows next to the Date header.
- Gains: Sort by the USD gain value. Results will not be in chronological order.
- Value: Sort by transaction value, from highest to lowest or vice versa.
Understanding transaction features
On the Transactions page, you'll find detailed information for each transaction, including:
- Category: Type of transaction.
- Date: Date and time of the transaction in UTC time zone.
- Sent/received assets: Depending on the transaction type, displays both sent or received assets, or just one.
- Fee: Transaction fee in cash currency.
- Value: Fair market value (in cash currency, USD) of all assets sent or received at the time of the transaction.
- Gains: The profit or loss calculated as proceeds minus the cost basis.
Expand transaction details
For a deeper dive into your transaction details, select a transaction to expand it:
- Transaction details: View proceeds, cost basis, and transaction fees for each asset. Note: Transfers, being non-taxable, won't show these details.
- Wallet balances: See the ending balance of each asset in the wallet after the transaction.
