Most password reset emails arrive within a few minutes. If yours hasn't, work through the basic checks first, then verify whether your account uses a social sign-in instead of the traditional email and password.
Check the basics
If you haven't received any email after a few minutes:
- Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder.
- Confirm you're checking the inbox for the email address linked to your CoinTracker account.
- Search your inbox for
cointracker.ioto surface any emails that already arrived. - Allowlist the
cointracker.iodomain in your email provider's settings so future emails aren't filtered. - Request a new reset link from the sign-in page if it still hasn't arrived after 30 minutes.
Steps to verify if you use a social sign-in
If your account uses a social sign-in (Google, Coinbase, or Apple), CoinTracker won't send a password reset email. You must sign in through that provider instead.
To verify what type of sign-in credentials you have:
- Go to the sign-in page.
- Enter your email address and click Continue.
- Click Forgot password? and then Continue.
- Go to your email, and search Password Reset Request.
This email will tell you if your account was created with a social sign-in and which provider you use to access your account. To sign in, use the verified social sign-in.
Note: The email address you enter must match the one on your account. If you have multiple email addresses, repeat the steps for each one.
