Occasionally users won’t receive the password reset email they requested. We often find this is because the account was created using a social sign-in (using a Google, Coinbase, Apple account) rather than email and password. If we detect you’ve signed up with a social sign-in, we will let you know.
How to Verify if You Created Your Account with Social Sign-In
If you are not able to login to your account and did not receive a password reset, here's how you can verify which type of login you have
- Click ‘Sign in’ on the CoinTracker homepage
- Enter your email address and click ‘Continue’
- Click ‘Forgot Password?’ and then ‘Continue’ again

Search your email inbox for the ‘Password Reset Request’ email we send you

If you’ve created an account with social sign-in the email will let you know which social provider you registered with

You can go ahead and sign in with your social sign-in account
I still can’t access my account
If you’ve tried the steps above and you still can’t access your account, you can try linking your account to a social sign-in. If you do not have another social sign-in using the same email, then you will need to create a new account.
It’s not possible to transfer across tracked wallets, exchanges, or transaction history from one account to another, however, if we can transfer any paid plans from your old account to your new account.
