To accurately calculate your crypto taxes, we need a complete history of your crypto transactions. Downloading and backing up your crypto transaction history from CoinTracker ensures you have the data needed to calculate your taxes.
Back up your crypto transaction history
Backing up your transaction history ensures you can:
- Retain access to your data if you lose access to your CoinTracker account.
- Keep a record if you’re locked out of an exchange or the exchange ceases operations.
How to download your transaction history
- Navigate to the Transactions page.
- Set filters for transactions to download.
- You can choose to leave the filters unset to download all transactions.
- Per wallet: Filter by individual wallets if you want to keep them separate for future re-import to CoinTracker.
- Large number of transactions: For large transaction volume, we recommend downloading history in chunks of no more than 10,000 transactions at a time to prevent download failure. Set the results per page to 100, check the dates on the 1st and 10th page, then use the date filter to download that range.
- Click CSV to download your filtered or complete transaction history.
