If you log in with a username and password:
Users who log in with a username (email) and password can change their email address through the following steps:
- Go to the Settings page on your CoinTracker account.
- Under the "Account" section, scroll to the "Email" option.
- Follow the prompts to update your email address.
Note: Accounts are limited in how often they can change their email address. If you encounter a message indicating you must wait before changing your email again, you will need to comply with this restriction.
If you log in via a social provider (Google, Apple, etc.):
Users who log in through social providers such as Google, Apple, or Coinbase cannot change their email address directly. However, if you lose access to your social provider account, you can still access your CoinTracker account by following these steps:
- Sign in to your CoinTracker account using a different social provider than usual.
- Ensure the email address associated with the new social provider matches the one previously used for your social login.
- The system will automatically link your accounts, allowing you to log in through either social provider.
You can also choose to create a new account and we can transfer your paid plans to the new account for you.
Important: We are not able to change the email address of a CoinTracker account on behalf of the user.
