A phone number is not required when purchasing a CoinTracker subscription, but it may be requested if you're using Stripe's Link service for faster, one-click payments. If you'd prefer not to use Link, simply opt out by following the provided steps to continue without it.
Optional phone number during purchase
We use Stripe for payment processing, which offers a feature called Link that allows for 1-click purchases by saving your information. This feature requires a phone number. To skip this, uncheck the box labeled: Save your info for secure 1-click checkout with Link during the payment process.
You receive a text code request during purchase
If you receive a prompt asking for a code sent to your phone during the purchase process, this is related to Stripe’s Link service, which saves payment information for faster future transactions. This means you previously chose to save your payment details with Link when making a purchase from a merchant that also uses Stripe.
To proceed without using Link, you can:
- Click Cancel and manually re-enter your payment details.
- Opt to receive the code via email, if available.
CoinTracker does not collect phone numbers directly and is not affiliated with the Link service. For further questions about Link, contact Stripe directly.
