If you’re having trouble syncing your wallets or exchanges, learn how to fix a stuck sync, perform a manual sync, and what to expect when adding a new wallet.
Your wallet is stuck syncing
A sync becomes “stuck” when it starts but doesn’t finish. You’ll see the progress bar under the wallet or exchange not move, indicating the sync is stuck.
Steps to fix stuck wallets or exchanges
To fix existing stuck wallets or exchanges:
- Refresh the page: If the sync doesn't complete in about five minutes, try refreshing your browser.
- Initiate a manual sync: Click Sync all from the Wallets page.
- Check internet connection: Ensure your connection is stable.
- Check for bugs: See our current bug reports for any known issues related to the wallet or exchange. If it’s not listed there, create a report by contacting our support team.
To fix newly added wallets or exchanges that are stuck:
- Be patient: Allow at least 30 minutes for the sync to process, especially for larger accounts.
- Check for progress: After 30 minutes, transactions should start appearing, although the sync might not be fully complete.
- Seek help if stalled: If no progress is made after an hour and you’ve checked our current bug reports for any known issues related to the wallet or exchange, then contact our support team for help.
Syncing a new wallet can take anywhere between five minutes to an hour, depending on various factors.
How to manually sync out-dated wallets or exchanges
If your wallet or exchange hasn’t synced in over 24 hours, you may need to manually sync it.
- Sign in to CoinTracker and navigate to the Wallets page.
- Click Sync all.
- A checkmark will indicate that the sync is complete.
