CoinTracker has updated its edit transaction page to improve the user experience and streamline the ability to edit and manually change both simple and complex transaction. Let’s dive in:
Accessing the Edit Transactions Page
Users can navigate to any transaction on the transactions page, select More Actions […]
to the right of the transaction and select the Edit transaction
option.
Understanding the Edit Transactions Page
When navigating within the transactions page, user will be able to:
- Edit the selected transactions date
- Add additional outgoing, incoming, and fee assets to their transaction
- Edit or ignore specific entries within a transaction

Editing Transactions
Edit asset
- You can edit an entry by hovering over the desired asset and selecting the

option. This will prompt a modal where changes can be made. Be sure to save your transaction if you want your changes applied!
Ignore asset
- You can ignore an asset by hovering over the desired asset, selecting the

option. Be sure to save your transaction if you want your changes applied!
+ Add outgoing assets
, incoming assets
, or transactions fees
- Users can add additional assets to the incoming, outgoing and fees columns in their transaction by select the

at the bottom of each of the transaction columns. Be sure to save your transaction if you want your changes applied! **
NOTE: Some restrictions apply, we currently do not support NFT (non-fungible tokens) and unrecognized assets. Support coming soon!
Edit date
- Users can edit the date of their transaction by selecting the ✏️ icon next the assigned date. Be sure to save your transaction if you want your changes applied!
Saving Changes
To ensure that user edits are saved, users can select the Save Transaction
option at the bottom of the page. Should a user select the Back to transactions
option, a modal will appear confirming the user would like to discard or save their changes.
There are cases in which we may not be able to save certain edits made to a transaction. Users may see the follow error message: Unable to save your transaction. Please review your edits and try again.
CoinTracker is planning on improving our error messaging in order to provide better guidance to users when they encounter issues saving certain edits made to a transaction. We appreciate your patience as we continue to make improvements to our platform. Undoing Changes
Users can undo individual entry edits from the edit transaction page and remove all manual edits for an edited transaction from the transactions page.
